“A week of Indonesian language”, is one of the weekly culture events held in SDH from 23-27 October 2017. This spirit shows that One language, Indonesian, is not lost from the soul of SDH HV. Not only language, cultural diversity, characteristic and natural beauty also become the pride of this paradise land. The pride of this paradise land is admired by the students, though only satisfied by the silent screen.

During the week, students are satisfied by the beauty of each island and invited to pray for any struggles and hope. This spirit and attitude shows that we are not the best, nor the weakest, but we are only one nation, Indonesia.

On October 27th, 2017 the highlight of this year’s language week was held, and the students wear traditional clothes from various regions in Indonesia. "Tanah surga katanya…” opened this event with a film that questioned the wealth of this Country. Why do we lose our wealth to the neighbors? Have we wrongly processed this country ?.The message of this movie, which has led us to reflect on ourselves or to make a poem depicting what we are to this paradise land.

The students are also invited to bring a performance that will show the diversity of Indonesia. Starting with the folk songs and the sweet dance from juniors grade 1-6 that brings us to realize the uniqueness of each region. Then, followed by performances about war at every corner of Indonesia brought by senior high school to make us realize that we must unite because, “bersatu kita teguh, bercerai kita runtuh”.

While celebrating a language weekend, SDH HV also celebrates the Sumpah Pemuda as as realization that every island is diverse and every island can not stand on its own. This week ends with the hand stamp of each student representing Bhineka Tunggal Ika, “bersatu kita teguh bercerai kita runtuh”. Not escaping with the characteristics of SDH, a reflection was done to realize the hidden messages from this language week and that cover the end of this language week. The unity of each island that has liberated Indonesia, deepening this message students are brought to a meaning that is diverse islands, One Nation, Indonesia.

The end of the language week does not mean the ending of Indonesian unity in the soul of every SDH student. The Spirit of Tema One Nation, One language for His glory remains an important mandate of this language week. By bringing awareness of God's grace to the land of heaven, as well as an understanding of the importance of unity and wishing to pray for any shortcomings in Indonesia, the students are expected to tirelessly be proud of Indonesia and bring the unity of Indonesia to the glorified God's name. Because, One Nation, 1 Language for His glory.
