Safety Riding Socialization

At the end of this event students learned to grasp the way to ride properly and carefully to make Kupang’s traffic appropriately.

On March 14, 2017, senior high school students got briefings about how to ride safely through Safety Riding event that was held by PT. MPM Honda Kupang and Kupang daily morning post in cooperation with Polresta Kupang. At the end of this event students learned to grasp the way to ride properly and carefully to make Kupang’s traffic appropriately. Principal in a welcoming speech said that SDH Kupang encourage students to use public transportation or ask their parents to bring them to school. Beside the fact that SDH Kupang doesn’t have an enough parking field to accommodate all their vehicle, this is based on assure students’ safety. This also connected to obedience to the traffic rule about the minimum age to ride. The students were also expected to learn to have a simple life style without private vehicle to school.

In this event, the students were given many tips to be able to ride the motorcycle properly, safe, and comfort. The tips were not to modified the vehicle too much and took care their vehicle well. Besides, the rider had to ride well, reach minimum age, and had driver license, and wear complete costume to ride. The attributes of motorcycle were headlights, sein lights, and brake lights, vehicle brakes, rearview mirrors, gasoline, vehicle oil, and horn had to be completed and worked well.

Through this event, every student was expected to be able to apply the knowledge about the right way to ride on the public road. Through the same opportunity, the representative of Kupang daily morning post socialized about the power of the media that were used by the teenagers now a day.
