SPH Chrismast Celebration 2018 “The Covenant”

Palembang Posted on 16 Jan, 2019

On December 13 and 14, 2018, Sekolah Palembang Harapan celebrated Christmas by doing diverse activities. With the theme “THE COVENANT”, students were guided to find out The Person who has been promised since the early ages in many scriptures, Jesus Christ. In the previous week, each department has started the celebration by doing pre-event activities. Kindergarten students simply learned to understand God’s faithfulness in their life. Grade 1-6 teachers directed students to know what is and how to be a faithful person in any promise we make by mirroring God’s faithfulness to us. To deepen the understanding of covenants about the advent of Jesus, senior students tried to dive into the exposition of God’s promise since the creation until the day He came to the world. Cooperating with other institutions, they acted out this God’s faithfulness through meaningful activities. Grade 7 to 9 students visited a nursing home, sharing a story with grandpa and grandma and singing some songs. At last, they gave love gifts to all grandparents. Some representative from grade 10-12 students also did the same thing by visiting a hospital and sharing love gifts. They ended the day by performing Christmas songs in the mall and sharing love gift to the visitors. The culminating of SPH Christmas Celebration 2018 was students joined Christmas Assembly, singing some Christmas songs and hearing to God’s Words delivered by the talented guest speakers from Jakarta, Ibu Yvonne, and Pak Anthony.
